EIT selects 2 Portuguese women to the EIT Awards 2020
The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) selected 2 Portuguese women for the EIT 2020 awards.

The EIT awards aim to recognize the most promising entrepreneurs and innovators in Europe. The Portuguese Joana Isabel dos Santos and Ana Machado Silva are on the list of 28 European entrepreneurs who will compete for a prize on the next 8th and 9th of December. This contest aims to reward entrepreneurs from the EIT’s Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KIC) in the following categories:

  • EIT Change

  • EIT Innovators

  • EIT Venture

  • EIT Woman

  • EIT Public

The nominees stand out as entrepreneurs to foster European innovation through the launch of innovative products, projects and services that address global challenges in the fields of climate, energy, digitalization, food, health, and raw materials. The prizes to be awarded include funding between € 10,000 and € 50,000.
