The Euraxess Network is an initiative of the European Commission (EC) with the aim of facilitating the mobility of researchers, not only geographically, but also between sectors and disciplines, contributing to the implementation of the European Research Area (ERA). The Network is coordinated by the EC and brings together Member States and Associated States and has a total of 42 members. The Euraxess Network through its Portal allows the registration of organizations, giving them greater international visibility, access to new partnerships and the free publication of job vacancies, through the following operational structures:
• The Euraxess Centers Network. The mission of the Euraxess Centers is to support foreign researchers and their families when moving from a third country to an ERA Member State, or moving within ERA, facilitating their mobility across borders and across sectors and disciplines.
• The Euraxess Portal, which integrates the set of National Portals of the Network’s member countries, and which provide information on the country and its scientific panorama, as well as on the legislation applicable to researchers and their families in relation to Visas and Residence Permits, Social Security, Taxes and fiscal issues, Health, Education, Recognition of Diplomas, among others; • Euraxess Worldwide, which aims to promote the ERA, programs and funding opportunities, the R&I landscape and Europe as an attractive destination to work and reside.
