New innovation opportunity for CCSI – EIT Webinar, Date: 21 April 2021, 14h00-15h30 CET

The new and ambitious 7-year strategy of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) – the EIT Strategic Innovation Agenda (EIT SIA) 2021-27 – foresees the creation of a new Knowledge and Innovation Community (EIT KIC) in the field of Cultural and Creative Sectors and Industries (CCSIs). By uniting cultural and creative organisations from business, higher education and research in a pan-European innovation ecosystem, this new EIT KIC will deliver innovative solutions to help the sectors and industries become stronger and more resilient. The Call for the new KIC will be published in October/November 2021.

This webinar aims at informing interested CCSI stakeholders about the upcoming opportunity and equipping them with the necessary knowledge to lead or become part of a successful consortium.

Stakeholders will learn about the EIT innovation model, the added value of the future EIT KIC for the CCSIs and will get insights into how an EIT KIC functions. Moreover, the main milestones of the EIT KIC Call for Proposals will be presented, and guidance will be given about how to best prepare for the call.

Speakers include Manuel Heitor, Portuguese Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education, Eva Kaili, Member of the European Parliament, Viviane Hoffmann, Deputy Director-General of DG EAC, European Commission, Catherine Magnant, Deputy to the Director and Head of the Cultural Policy Unit, DG Education and Culture, European Commission and Martin Kern, EIT Director.

Participants will have the possibility to interact with speakers in the form of Q&A and polls.

The webinar is open, no registration is required.
