The COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated the importance of global collaboration and early sharing of well-documented data and knowledge. Achieving data interoperability becomes imperative in public emergencies when proper responses have to be rapidly identified like the development of vaccines or therapies for COVID19, which rely heavily on the capacity to integrate different data types originating from laboratory, hospital or industrial settings
The aim of this workshop is to review lessons learnt at national, European and community levels regarding data exchange during the COVID-19 pandemic and to discuss how they could feed into more inclusive interoperability frameworks for scientific data exchange across domains and countries.
