2nd ePitching to Procurers of innovation against COVID-19
The goal is to connect public and private procurers from the health sector with EIC-funded companies providing medical supply and innovative technologies (e.g. tele-medicine, remote solutions, artificial intelligence for data analysis and prediction, supply chain management, logistics) as a solution to the COVID-19 pandemic. This specific call is solely for public and private procurers interested in participating.

The European Commission Unit E.3 – Health Innovations has announced the 2nd ePitching to Procurers of innovation against COVID-19 which will take place on the 17th November and will be delivered in partnership with the European Innovation Council (EIC) and the Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI).

Building on the success of the 1st EIC ePitching event against COVID-19 which attracted 155 participants, including representatives from more 50 procurement organisations, they aim to reach an even wider audience. With regards to scope, the event will focus on the three pressing needs outlined below and may include further priorities proposed by procurers:

  • Medical devices, supply chain and logistics management. EIC companies with medical devices to help the COVID19 outbreak including, but not limited to;
  • Biotechnology / health – pharmaceuticals (including antimicrobials), diagnostics and testing, among others. EIC Beneficiaries explore new antimicrobials and drugs to tackle new virus including, but not limited to;
  • Tools for prediction & stopping the spread of new diseases.
