The project AYR sustainability platform, from CEiiA, Matosinhos wins the New European Bauhaus Prize, under the strand New European Bauhaus under the category Products and Life Style.
The winners of the first edition of the New European Bauhaus Prizes were announced yesterday, 16th September, in an online ceremony that was streamed online and can be watched here. In this event, Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth has announced future editions of the prizes.
20 winners were selected, under 10 categories, in two parallel competition strands: the New European Bauhaus Awards, for existing completed examples or projects, and the New European Bauhaus Rising Stars, for concepts or ideas submitted by young talents aged 30 or less.
The deadline for application was the 1st of June of 2021. There were 2090 applications, of which, 60 were shortlisted. Among the 60 shortlisted applications, 6 were Portuguese initiatives and projects, some of which nominated for more than one category:
