The European Commission officially launched Horizon Europe on Official Journal of the European Union the last 12th May. In this sense it was published the Regulation 2021/695 which establish the rules for participation of Horizon Europe and the Council Decision 2021/764 that sets the Specific Program for Horizon Europe.
Horizon Europe have a budget of € 95,500 million and focuses on climate change, on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and aim to leverage the European Union’s competitiveness and growth.
The European Commission’s new Research and Innovation Framework Program presents a new approach to European and global challenges with this new elements:
- European Innovation Council
- Missions
- Open Science Policy
- New approach to partnerships
