EIT Announces Projects Selected to Pilot “Higher Education Initiative”

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) announced the 23 selected projects for the pilot implementation phase of the “Higher Education Initiative” – an initiative that will provide selected consortia with financial support and also coaching and access to the innovation network the EIT, to implement an action plan for better performance in entrepreneurship education.

A total of 64 proposals were submitted, with more than 700 entities including higher education institutions and other non-academic ones – including private companies, research institutes and public entities representing a total of 32 countries, including non-member states.

From the 23 selected consortia, 6 have Portuguese partners, and 2 are even led by national entities.

  • TANDEM+: led by the University of Aveiro;
  • ETEIA: participation of the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro
  • TRUE: participation of the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon;
  • INCORE: led by Instituto Superior Técnico, with the participation of the University of Medeira, and Trisolaris Advanced Technologies
  • INNOUNITA: participation of the University of Beira Interior
  • INVENTHEI: led by the University of Porto, participation of UPTEC – University of Porto Science and Technology Park

 

Each project will receive a total of €400,000.00 for the implementation of this first phase, between July and December 2021.
