In a partnership between the two Erasmus+ National Agencies, Education and Training and Youth in Action, the Erasmus+ Programme 2021/2027 was launched.
This event laid the cornerstone of the start of national dissemination of the programme’s opportunities for this new 7-year cycle. It was attended by the Ministers of Education, Tiago Brandão Rodrigues and of Science, Technology and Higher Education, Manuel Heitor; the Deputies Secretaries of State for Education, João Costa, of Youth and Sports, João Paulo Rebelo, from Science, Technology and Higher Education, João Sobrinho Teixeira, from Labour and Professional Training, Miguel Cabrita, and from the two directors of the National Agencies, Cristina Perdigão and Luís Alves.
In an informal event, divided into three distinct panels, the various speakers looked at the Erasmus+ Programme and what it stands for in Europe and Portugal, as well as for institutions and participants in the areas of Education, Training, Youth and Sport.
The first panel, composed of the Ministers of Education and of Science, Technology and Higher Education, was marked by sharing diverse ideas regarding the present and future of the Erasmus+ Programme in Portugal, the importance of the programme’s priorities, such as inclusion, digital transition and the green Erasmus, as well as for the goals defined for increasing participation and the future of national agencies.
In a second panel, the Secretaries of State addressed the most relevant issues of the programme for the national and sectorial context and in the third panel, the directors of the national agencies addressed the programme’s technical details such as budgetary issues, what’s new and the future of the agencies, ending the session by answering questions raised by the audience, who attended the event through the social networks of the two agencies.
