Until 24 September start-ups, SMEs and university students can register for the 2nd Hackathon of the GALACTICA project, of which PRODUTECH is a partner.
The GALACTICA project aims to foster the creation of new industrial value chains around the textile and aerospace sectors based on advanced manufacturing technologies. SMEs and start-ups from these sectors, as well as university students, can form teams and sign up.
A Hackathon is an intensive collaborative event that encourages multidisciplinary teams to create new value by providing innovative solutions to pre-defined challenges.
The GALACTICA project seeks innovative solutions to combine the textile and aerospace sectors by integrating production technologies to form new value chains and business models, fostering cross-sector and cross-border partnerships.
You can register for the Hackathon through the GALACTICA call platform until 24 September 2021.
The Hackathon will take place in two phases:
– A first online, with a virtual challenge that will take place during October
– And the second round, for the selected finalists, which will take place in person on 30 November and 1 December in the Barcelona region (provided that there are sanitary conditions for it)
The GALACTICA Hackathon will award €50,000 in prizes:
– 25,000€ for the winning SME/Start-up team;
– 10,000 euros for the second classified SME/Start-up team;
– 10,000 for the winning student team;
– 5,000€ for the second placed student team.
