The European Commission published the second edition of the Transitions Performance Index (TPI), a new composite indicator that measures the performance of transition of countries in four dimensions- social, economic, environmental and governance. In this report, EU member states and 45 other countries are ranked according to how they performed, from 2011 to 2020, both overall and in the four dimensions mentioned, allowing to compare the performance of countries in moving towards sustainibility, through a ‘beyond GDP’ approach.
